Fundraising Goals

The Unit Scholarship Fund is a volunteer organization with no paid employees. We receive no financial assistance from the United States Army. Over 98% of our fundraising goes directly towards the undergraduate/graduate school educational needs of our Family Members. The Unit Scholarship Fund (USF) is an official IRS 501(c)3 non-profit, tax exempt operating foundation chartered to support the undergraduate/graduate school educational goals of great Americans. The USF is recognized by, and receives contributions from the United Way and through the Combined Federal Campaign. The USF obtains its financial support from our annual USF Golf tournament, USF Raffles, USF Art Print Sales, The Patriot Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Combined Federal Campaign, and Private/Corporate donations. As a rule, each year we take 50% of our donations and award them as scholarships, the remaining 50% we invest with UBS. Our investment goal is to grow our endowment to $4,000,000, which would allow us to provide annual scholarships of $200,000, thus freeing up our USF Board of Directors from fund raising and allowing us to focus more on educational counseling.
